Move category
Template:DamageCategories The category (French: catégorie category) of a move is a property of said move that determines the kind of damage it deals.
If a move is physical, the damage calculation is performed using the user's Attack and the target's Defense. If it is special, it will use the user's Special Attack and the target's Special Defense.
Status moves

Status moves act differently from both of the other move categories, as they don't do direct damage and instead focus on their special effects.
Trivia
- There are no special Fighting-type moves.
